- Add butter and sugar to pan and combine
- Add bananas cut side down to caramelize
- In the meantime, add the egg, vanilla, the *more sugar* and oil together. Then, add the milk.
- To that, add the sifted flour. Mix well.
- Add the optional spices
- Add baking powder until just mixed in.
- Spread batter over the pan of bananas, cover and cook on low heat for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, place a plate on top of the pan to facilitate flipping the cake over to the other side.
- Cook 5 more minutes.
